  5. Items which were too late for inclusion in the manual:
  6.  
  7. 1. Disk/Disk Utilization does not round to the nearest 100th.
  8.  
  9.    For example, if you have a directory that only uses 0.008% of the 
  10.    disk drive, then WINProbe will show that it uses 0.00%.
  11.  
  12. 2. Problems found when using Novell NetWare:
  13.  
  14.    You may encounter one or more of the following problems because of the
  15.    way that Novell NetWare sometimes reports network drive capacity:
  16.  
  17.     a) Disk/Utilization: The percentages shown may not add up to 100%
  18.        usage. Novell NetWare will sometimes under-report the actual 
  19.        capacity of the drive. The capacity reported is what WINProbe
  20.        uses to calculate the actual percentage used.
  21.  
  22.     b) Disk/Utilization:  When checking a network drive, the progress
  23.           bar may hit 100% and you will still see directories being
  24.        scanned. This, again, is because of the way that Novell 
  25.        NetWare sometimes reports network drive capacity.
  26.  
  27. 3. The Quarterdeck RegIni Editor (only available if you are running Windows
  28.    95) has an online help system. For operational help, just press F1 while
  29.    RegIni is running.
  30.  
  31. What this maintenance release corrects:
  32. =======================================
  33.  
  34. 1. An incompatibility with the ATI Mach 64 / WinTurbo / Graphics Pro Turbo
  35.    cards which caused the screen to blink rapidly or go dark, has been
  36.    corrected. The cause of the problem was in the ATI driver's use of some
  37.    of the reserved bits in the COM4 region. Any activation or sensing of
  38.    COM 4 will cause this problem. To correct this, WINProbe now determines
  39.    if you are using one of these cards, and if so, will not physically
  40.    test COM 4. Currently, there is no other solution available and we are
  41.    working with ATI on a long-term solution.

  43. 2. CD-ROM diagnostic now works properly under Windows 95. Windows 95 will
  44.    not allow the checking of LBNs 1-15 and would report back an error, thus
  45.    not allowing the main CD-ROM diagnostics to be executed.
  46.  
  47. 3. The keyboard diagnostic will now display the appropriate number of keys
  48.    for a keyboard with non-US layouts.
  49.  
  50. 4. The installation program will not create an icon for the Quarterdeck
  51.    RegIni Editor if WINProbe is being installed under Windows 3.1x and
  52.    likewise, will not create an icon for INI Editor if being installed
  53.    under Windows 95.
  54.  
  55. 5. The Hard Disk Surface Analysis now works correctly on drives that had
  56.    previously had reported errors.
  57.  
  58. 6. The EXIT button on the button bar no longer displays the incorrect
  59.    version number.
  60.  
  61. 7. The RAM diagnostic no longer causes a Windows Protection Error #6
  62.    under Windows 95.
